Flutter News May 2026 (4/4)
Antigravity 2.0 — Google's IDE for Flutter, and FFDC 2026 — the FlutterFlow community conference in San Francisco.

Antigravity 2.0 — Google’s Agent-First IDE for Flutter
Alongside Flutter 3.44, Google I/O introduced another tool worth its own spotlight: Antigravity 2.0 — an agent-first IDE built as a VS Code fork powered by Gemini. Version 2.0 ships with a full desktop app, 16 specialised agents covering the entire development stack, and MCP connector support.
In practice it closes the loop between design and running code without manual context switching: Stitch generates the UI design, Antigravity translates it into Flutter/Dart code, and the MCP server automatically triggers hot reload on the running app after every agent-driven change. Google ran a live workshop at I/O — “Vibe once, run anywhere with Google Antigravity and Flutter” — with all recordings available on-demand at io.google and on the Flutter YouTube channel.

FFDC 2026 — The FlutterFlow Community Conference in San Francisco
May 27–28 brought FFDC 2026 to San Francisco’s The Midway — the biggest annual gathering of the FlutterFlow community. The two-day programme included talks, workshops, and new FlutterFlow feature announcements focused on AI-assisted development. Virtual tickets were free, with thousands of developers tuning in from around the world.
Among the speakers was Eric Seidel — Flutter co-founder, now CEO of Shorebird and a familiar face to Flutter Prague attendees — who spoke about the future of multiplatform development. FlutterFlow also presented the 2026 Community Awards at the conference.
